The Cast of Characters

Repainted Helen Kish doll, Seasons Winter 16-inch all-vinyl doll with joints at shoulders and hips. Summer was repainted (painted) by fine artist Nancy Lee Moran in 2008 and renamed Esmee. Esmee has eyes of PURE TRANSPARENT LAPIS LAZULI alkyd-oil pigment, made from a deep blue semiprecious stone named lazurite. Lapis is also used for making jewelry. Esmee is wearing an ivory silk dress by Hankie Couture. Ivory raw silk has all the lovely irregularities that make it so beautiful. This TEA-length dress is as light as a feather! More of Marsha's original doll clothes can be found on her website www.hankiecouture.com. There is an impressed mark on the back of the doll head: 1997 Kish and Company 97F. Seasons Dolls were designed by Helen Kish and produced by White Balloon International Company of Spain in 2003

Note from Nancy Lee about Jen's doll stories:
Jen's dolls go into each setting of the story, in real life! No Photoshop tricks or faux backgrounds! Jen likes the challenge of taking the dolls out into Cornwall, where the scenes and emotions of the stories become real to her as an author. As Jen once wrote to me, "They have been in every setting I have shown them in by hook and by crook, with very little jiggery pokery."

Disclaimer

Jen's stories are (obviously!) works of fiction. Her setting is truly Cornwall. Most of the places referred to exist as described. The characters and incidents, however, are created solely from the author's imagination. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is coincidental.
