"How Many?"

The 10 x 14 original art may be purchased from Nancy.

This art is a genuine B&W photo taken by Lynell Morgan when she and Nancy Lee visited the Printery House in Missouri in the summer of 2005. We walked near the monastery, where the monks live. How hot the sun, how humid & torpid. We almost melted like wax. Then we spied these funny frogs by a fountain and grabbed a camera. Nancy Lee later painted this image with oil glazes, adding each color by hand.

Find what’s magical in the ordinary things of life.

Child’s Page

If a child is seeing the art with you, here is a story for him or her, from a froggy friend:

How many frogs?
Our mottled skin blends into the water and lily pads. Our eyes can pivot to see in all directions. All of us enjoy our pond, though it is only the size of your bathtub. We are tiny, too, each the size of a quarter coin. A few months ago we were teeny tadpoles in this same pond.
So hop to it! Have a fun day at a pond near you. Take an adult and go find some frogs.
P.S. Did you find all seven of us?
